Being charged with a criminal offense can turn your whole life upside down. Driving under the influence, for example, (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI), are serious criminal offenses. Even decent, law-abiding citizens sometimes make mistakes that land them in jail. People often underestimate the consequences of having a criminal conviction. There can be short-term consequences, like fines, jail time, probation, and long-term consequences, such as not getting a good job or a promotion.
If you ever find yourself facing a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) charge, you need to find a good DWI lawyer to help you. Ultimately, choosing the right DWI attorney can make all the difference.
Who We Are
John Gioffredi is an industry leader among DWI attorneys. He has received numerous awards and teaches legal seminars regularly. He revolutionized jury punishment for Texas DWI cases and has led his jury punishment system to other defense attorneys throughout Texas. Furthermore, John Gioffredi has been helping clients win their DWI cases in the Dallas area for over 30 years
He has defended over 1,500 Texas DWI cases since 1987, winning over 300 not guilty verdicts and getting over 300 other DWI case dismissals.
The firm has a proven track record of going to trial and beating DWI charges. No matter how bad you think your DWI case looks, we’ve seen it before, and we’ll use our three decades of experience to fight for you. We will fight to get you the best possible result, as soon as possible, for a fair and affordable fee.
Our Practice Areas
Although our primary focus for the last thirty years has been defending DWI cases, we also have handled almost every crime on the books: from murder to parking tickets, including assaults, sexual assaults, robberies, burglaries, drug possession, drug distribution, prostitution, gambling, and weapons charges.
If you’ve been arrested for it, we can defend it. As a matter of fact, we have defended hundreds of thousands of traffic tickets over the years.
Winning Your Case
A great criminal defense lawyer should be able to get you a great result consistently. But a great result doesn’t always mean winning your case, and some lawyers make outrageous and misleading claims to trick you into hiring them.
Take DWI cases, for example. Some lawyers claim to “win” over 90% of their DWI cases or have a 95% “success rate.” Those percentages are not accurate. They can’t be! No lawyer “wins” 90% of their DWI cases - unless you count almost anything as a “win.”
Some lawyers count probation as a “win” for their clients. But the verdict or plea was guilty, the client had to report to probation for 18 months, and the DWI is on their record forever. In what world is that a “win?”
Some lawyers count beating the plea offer as a win. So if the DA’s plea offer was eight years in the pen, and you got your client six years in the pen, how exactly is that a “win?” Winning should mean the client walks away with no punishment whatsoever, no probation, and nothing on their record. That’s what we mean when we say we won a case.
Our goals are to get you the best possible outcome as soon as possible and accomplish that without putting you in the poor house. Hopefully, that’s an outright dismissal of the charges or a not guilty verdict, so the charges never appear on your record.
That is why we want to emphasize the importance of working with highly knowledgeable professionals committed to their clients. Ultimately, here at Dallas Law Attorney, Texas, we work hard to provide top-quality service, and we have three decades of experience to prove it.
